狂賀！動科系蘇忠楨教授
榮膺歐洲科學與藝術學院院士
本院動物科學技術學系蘇忠楨教授於2021年8月2日接到歐洲科學與藝術學院(European Academy of Sciences and Arts)院長Prof. Dr. Klaus Mainzer來信通知獲選為院士，所屬學科組別為「技術與環境科學(class VI – Technical and Environmental Sciences)」。

蘇教授專注於畜牧業污染防技術與廢棄物再生循環技術研發約28年，所研發之技術系統多已經推廣於畜牧產業界現場使用。尤其是所研發之沼氣生物脫硫技術裝置於2010年榮獲第10屆國家新創獎殊榮，為政府推動國內畜牧沼氣回收再利用技術跨出關鍵性一大步。
蘇忠楨教授於2013年協助屏東縣中央畜牧場建置國內首座沼氣發電示範場域，2018年起於宜蘭縣建置國內首座智慧化養豬廢水處理系統示範場域，大幅降低人員操作管理之技術門檻，同時提升廢水處理系統之處理效率與穩定性。2019年榮獲本校社會服務優良獎。
此外，蘇教授於2016年前往波蘭參加論壇時已經與波蘭盧布林科技大學環境工程研究所Prof. Lucjan Pawlowski簽訂合作備忘錄，並保持技術聯繫與合作，2019年前往波蘭參加研討會時也與他討論科技研究計畫未來之合作方向。
歐洲科術學院院長與蘇教授來信
歐洲科學與藝術學院為歐洲的非政府學術組織，旨在推動科學及社會發展。學院於1990年成立，促進創新研究、跨學科及轉化合作、知識的交流及傳播。成員包括知名科學家、藝術家及人文研究學者，當中32位為諾貝爾獎得主。目前中華民國臺灣共有9位院士，包括曾志朗院士等。
ProfessorJung-Jeng Su of the Department of Animal Science and Technology was elected as a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts
Professor Su received the election letter of Professor Dr. Klaus Mainzer, President of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, to inform him of the results of the member election in Class VI – Technical and Environmental Sciences on August 2nd, 2021.

Professor Su has focused on the research and development of animal husbandry pollution prevention technology and waste recycling technology for about 28 years. Most of the technical systems developed have been promoted to the livestock industry for on-site use. In particular, the biogas bio-desulfurization technology device was awarded the 10th National Innovation Award in 2010, which is a key step for the government to promote the recycling and reuse technology of domestic livestock biogas. In 2013, he assisted the Zhong Young Livestock Farm to build the first biogas power generation demonstration site in Pingtung County, Taiwan. Since 2018, the first demonstration site of a smart piggery wastewater treatment system with IoT technology has been established in Yilan County, Taiwan, which has greatly reduced the technical skill required for manual operation management and improved the treatment efficiency and stability of the wastewater treatment system.
In 2019, Prof. Su was awarded the Faculty’s Social Service Excellence Award of National Taiwan University.
When Professor Su traveled to Poland in 2016 to attend the forum, he had already worked with Professor Lucjan Pawlowski, Environmental Engineering Faculty of Lublin University of Technology, for signing a memorandum of technical contacts and cooperation, and when Professor Su’s second traveling to Poland in 2019 for attending a conference, he also discussed with Prof. Pawlowski for the future direction of cooperation in scientific and technological research projects.
The European Academy of Sciences and Arts is a non-governmental academic organization in Europe that aims to promote the development of science and society. The Academy was established in 1990 to promote innovative research, interdisciplinary and translational collaboration, and the exchange and dissemination of knowledge. Members include renowned scientists, artists, and humanities scholars, 32 of whom are Nobel Laureates. At present, there are 9 members in Taiwan, including academician Dr. Tzeng Ovid.
